A GoFundMe page has been established for the family of a Poughkeepsie teen killed on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley on Saturday.

Nolan Evanicki, 18, was a passenger in a car traveling eastbound on Route 44 at 7:30PM. When the car turned left onto the Taconic State Parkway on-ramp, it was struck by another vehicle traveling westbound. Evanicki was extricated by Pleasant Valley Fire Department and pronounced dead on the scene, New York State Police said.

The fundraiser will help the family pay for funeral expenses, which they never anticipated planning for for the teenager, Evanicki's brother Dylan said.

In a phone call on Monday, Dylan relayed his father Mike's thoughts on what they wanted the Hudson Valley to know about their beloved brother and son.

"That kid was full of life. He loved wrestling and superheroes and wanted a long life with his girlfriend," Dylan said.
