Fall Foliage Almost at Peak in Some Hudson Valley Towns
This year it feels like it took forever for the leaves to start changing throughout the Hudson Valley. With the warmer weather it still felt like summer at the beginning of October.
Luckily things are looking up, while the leaves are starting to fall down. According to ILoveNY and the Department of Environmental Conservation, the Hudson Valley will officially be hitting mid peak this weekend.
The site is reporting that foliage spotters in Hudson are reporting a 65 to 75 percent change in Columbia County this weekend and to be on the lookout at the color change for green, golden orange, and yellow leaves . Orange County spotters are saying that they will be seeing near peak foliage this weekend.
While some are close to peak, Dutchess County is reportedly "sluggish" at this point in time with only a 35 percent change in colors.
Slowly but surely we are getting to that Hudson Valley fall foliage that we love so much. Where are your hot spots to see the pretty leaves? Let us know on Facebook.
