If you use Yahoo then you need to change your passwords.

Yahoo said Thursday that as least five hundred million accounts were stolen in one of the largest cybersecurity breaches ever.

Yahoo believes the breach happened in late 2014, and was carried out by a "state sponsored actor".

Yahoo said in a statement:

The account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (the vast majority with bcrypt) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers.

One good thing, according to Yahoo, is that they believe that users' personal bank information and credit card data was not compromised.

Wonder if this effect Verizon's purchase of Yahoo?

Just another reminder that while the technology we use on a daily basis is helpful, it is downright scary that all of your personal information can be stolen and exposed just by a few clicks of a mouse.
