The Fast & Furious franchise really is all about family. The billion-dollar speed saga is officially racing onto Netflix with a new animated series following the adventures of Dominic Toretto’s young cousin. We swear we’re not making this up.

Netflix announced the new tentatively-titled Fast & Furious series as an expansion of their DreamWorks Animation Television deal, which will include other DreamWorks Animation series based on Universal film properties. The new series joins the adapted ranks of DreamWorks’ Trollhunters, All Hail King Julien and more, while Vin Diesel is set to executive produce the new Fast series following his character’s cousin:

Teenager Tony Toretto follows in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination. Tim Hedrick (DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (All Hail King Julien) will serve as executive producers and showrunners. The series is also executive produced by Vin Diesel, Neal Moritz and Chris Morgan who also serve as producers on the live-action Fast & Furious franchise.

No premiere window was listed for the series, though the artwork above gives a slight sense of the style. In addition to a developing spinoff booked for July 2019, the Fast franchise also has ninth and tenth films eyed for April 2020 and April 2021.
