State Police have arrested three City of Newburgh woman, who operate a cleaning service, in connection with a burglary in the Village of Kiryas Joel.

New York State Police in Monroe responded to a home on Eahal Court in the Village of Kiryas Joel for a reported burglary. Police say numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen from the residence. Police allege that 3 women who work as a home cleaning service in the Village of Kiryas Joel stole the items.

Authorities were able to locate and interview the three suspects. Investigators say the three made admissions regarding their involvement in the burglary.

32-year-old Gladis Aguilar, Tania Borjas-Garcia, 34, and 30-year-old Yorleni Varela, all of the City of Newburgh, were arrested and charged with 2nd-degree burglary, a class C felony. They were arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court and remanded to Orange County Jail.

State Police believed the women have been involved in several burglaries, some unreported, within the Village. The State Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Monore barracks at (845)782-8311
