2018 Hudson Valley Halloween Parades List
The spirit of Halloween thrives in the Hudson Valley each year as several communities across the region host family-friendly parades. Kids, parents, and even pets can join in the fun. From small, festive strolls for your little ones, to all-out haunted processions with prizes for creative costumes, you won’t want to miss these spooky spectacles.
Sunday, October 14; 12-4 pm | Mesier Park
Bring the kids and pets in their Halloween costumes for this yearly favorite tradition. Parade lineup is on Mill St. at 12pm, and the fun continues after with a costume contest, a petting zoo, trick or treating, bounce houses, farmer’s market, free pumpkins, and more.
Saturday, October 27; 3- 8 pm (Rain date: October 28) | Main Street and Broadway
This annual parade features more than just costumed revelers; you’ll see floats, marching bands, and scores of people dressed up to win cash prizes ranging from $25 to $200 for their getups. The Nyack parade is known as one of the largest in the region — expect a large crowd and lots of excitement.
Wednesday, October 31; 6-8 pm | Main Street
A costume parade is just part of this yearly fall family tradition on Main Street in Tannersville. The event also includes the Student Parent Teacher Organization’s Trick or Truck, a pie-eating contest, and a Jack o’lantern display, among other attractions.
Sunday, October 28; 2-4 pm | 1095 Main Street, Fishkill
Dress the kids in their most creative costumes for the chance to win prizes at this festive parade, which travels down Main Street. The route ends at the firehouse and light refreshments will be served for participants.
Sunday, October 28; 4 pm | Warren St., Hudson
Bring the kids to Warren Street for trick or treating from 2-4 before heading to the 7th Street Park for parade kickoff at 4:05. Join other costumed revelers on the route to Hudson Hall, where a costume contest will be held with light refreshments served.

Sunday, October 28; 12:30 pm | Main Street
Costumed families can enjoy trick-or-treating at local businesses, along with a popular annual kids’ parade that travels down Main Street stopping at Teller Avenue.
Saturday, October 27; 11:45 am-4 pm | Abbey Road and Buttermilk Drive
Gather with friends and family for a community party that starts with a parade through this Hyde Park development and ending in Greenfields Park, led by the Hyde Park Police Department. Prizes will be given for best costumes, grouped by age, for ages one through 12. After the parade, enjoy a haunted trail, bobbing for apples, candy corn contest, bake sale, light refreshments, and goody bags.
