16 Arrested During Thanksgiving Crackdown Period

A "Thanksgiving Crackdown" by Dutchess County Police on impaired driving has led to 16 arrests.

Officers from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Town of Hyde Park Police Department, Town of East Fishkill Police Department, City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, Village of Wappinger’s Falls Police Department, and Village of Red Hook Police Department joined together for a "Thanksgiving Crackdown" to catch impaired drivers. The operation lasted from November 25, 2015 through November 29, 2015. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, 14 of the 16 arrests were due to impaired driving.

Below is the list of the 14 individuals who Dutchess County Police allege were driving under the influence.

John B Hosford Jr, 51, of Kingston, NY was charged with DWI a misdemeanor & Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor vehicle 1st a felony in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Sylvia Franze, 18, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWAI Drugs a misdemeanor in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Michael Espindle, 52, of Elizaville, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Village of Red Hook.

William Tanksley, 27, of Philadelphia, PA was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance a misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana a violation in the Town of Red Hook.

Joshua Rector, 20, of Tivoli, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Town of Red Hook.

Helen Koppie, 53, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & Criminal Possession of a Weapon both misdemeanors after being involved in a Personal Injury Auto Crash in the Town of Dover.

Michele Ruiz-Rodriguez, 42, of Hyde Park, NY was charged with DWAI Drugs a misdemeanor in the Town of Hyde Park.

Rashean McDonald, 31, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Jose Alicea-Rodriguez, 27, of Pleasant Valley, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Bricio Olivera Valencia, 28, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI and BAC .08 % or more both misdemeanors in the Town of Pleasant Valley.

Andrew Dwyer, 34, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Jose Abril,21, of Poughkeepsie, NY was charged with DWI a misdemeanor after being involved in a personal injury auto crash in the Town of Wappinger.

Timothy Miller, 22, of Hyde Park, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Town of Hyde Park.

Daniel Duffy, 25, of Carmel, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Town of East Fishkill.

John Hunt,26, of Garrison, NY was charged with DWI & BAC .08% or more both misdemeanors in the Town of East Fishkill.

All of the alleged impaired drivers will appear in local courts at a later date.
