Mitch from Half Time in Poughkeepsie stopped by the Boris & Robyn show to reveal this week's Beer of the Week. It's the same beer that's consumed by the tens of thousands of people who visit Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany every year.

Some find dark beers to be overpowering to the taste as well as a bit heavy to stomach. Flagship Brewing Co. has put together a beer that looks dark as can be, but, has a lighter taste that allows both dark beer lovers to enjoy more than one glass as well as introduce the taste to people just starting out with a darker style.

In the beer world we all know that IPA stands for India Pale Ale so that must mean that IPL stands for India Pale Lager, right?

We asked Mitch from Half Time what defines a "brown ale" and his answer was pretty simple: it's brown.

This week, Mitch from Half Time stopped in and taught us the difference between a Belgian Pale Ale and an India Pale Ale.

Back in the Winter of 2011, the Lagunitas Brewing Company had some technical issues that made it impossible to brew their Holiday Ale.  Instead, they created a substitute recipe with a label that read "Lagunitas Sucks".
