The Black Crowes released their debut album Shake Your Money Maker in February of 1990 on Def American Recordings. The album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart with the singles "Hard to Handle" and "She Talks to Angels" both reaching number 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Other singles released off the album include "Jealous Again", "Twice as Hard", and "Seeing Things". Shake Your Money Maker is the band's best selling album having sold over 5 million copies.
