UPDATE: NYS Police Announce Arrest Of Union Vale Man Wanted For Rape In Dover

With much support from the public, New York State Police Bureau of Investigation the Dover barracks has announced the arrest of Michael Winchcombe.

He has been aprehended and is currently being held in New Jersey.

State Police had much assistance from The United States Marshals Service, many news agencies, and dedicated Facebook followers.

The Dover barracks of the New York State Police Bureau of Investigation was seeking the publics assistance, in locating Michael Winchcombe, 35 of Unionvale, New York.

Winchcombe is wanted by State Police and Dutchess County Court for charges from a rape investigation from June 2014.

Following an investigation, Winchcombe was charged with 1st-degree rape, after it was alleged that he forcibly raped a 16-year old victim.

He was released on $100,000 bond from the Dutchess County Jail, and failed to appear for his first scheduled court date.

He was beleived to be in New Jersey.
