An Ulster County man turned himself into police following the initiation of an investigation into stolen cash. 

On June 7th, 2017, Saugerties Police initiated and investigation into the theft of $1,000 from the safe at the Kiwanis Ice Arena Admissions Office.

Following the initiation of the investigation, Barry E. Mower, 32, Saugerties, NY, turned himself into police. Mower is a 16-year employee of the Town of Saugerties Building and Grounds Department.

Mower turned himself into police after they contacted him regarding the investigation. Mower cooperated with authorities, admitting that he had taken the money.

Mower was processed and charged with the class E Felony of Grand Larceny in the fourth-degree.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court at a later date and time.
