Todd Rundgren has shared the title and cover image of his upcoming album, as well as details on a supporting tour. White Knight will be his first recording as a solo artist since 2015's Global.

Confirmed dates, cities and venues for a series of shows apparently called the White Knight: The Chivalrock Tour can be found below. They currently stretch from April through June; more shows are planned.

Rundgren will be part of a multi-artist event featuring the music of Aretha Franklin, as well. To be held March 6 at Carnegie Hall, the lineup features Kenny Loggins, Living Colour, Melissa Etheridge and Richard Thompson, among others.

No other details are available just yet for White Knight, including track listing, release date or collaborators. Preordering, however, is reportedly set to get underway "soon" at Rundgren's official store.

Rundgren also appeared on Ringo Starr's most recent LP, 2015's Postcards From Paradise, and as part of a group including Emil Nikolaisen and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm who released the dance-inflected Runddans, also released in 2015.
