More sad news to report in the rock and roll world today.  King Crimson and Asia singer and bassist John Wetton has passed away at the age of 67.  Wetton had been battling cancer for the last couple of years, and recently pulled out of the Journey and Asia tour.

I still remember the night Asia came to the Mid Hudson Civic Center back in the early 80s.  I did not get to go to the show because I was only a part timer, and I had to fill in for the regular night time personality because he was going to the concert. So, I never got to meet them or see them. At the show, somebody held up a huge banner that said WPDH, and then had the band members names coming down from each letter. W for Wetton, P for Palmer, D for Downes, and H for Howe.  We could not believe that we didn't think of it ourselves.

Rest in Peace, John.  You join a very talented lot of people in  Rock and Roll Heaven. Read the full story here:
