Well, According to North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis, a Republican, these employees being forced to wash their hands after bathroom use is a sign of too much regulation.

Sen. Thom Tillis was speaking at a discussion this week at the Bipartisan Policy Center, and he brought up hand-washing at restaurants to illustrate a point.

He feels that the business should have to choice of whether or not their employees have to wash their hands after bathroom use. As reported by US NEWS, Sen. Tillis had this to say:

"I don't have any problem with Starbucks if they choose to opt out of this policy, as long as they post a sign that says, 'We don't require our employees to wash their hands after leaving the restroom.' The market will take care of that." He added: "That's probably one where every business that did that would go out of business. But I think it's good to illustrate the point that that's the sort of mentality that we need to have to reduce the regulatory burden on this country."

As a person who spent 16 years in the hospitality field, and worked at many food establishments, I cannot agree with this at all. I understand over-regulating, but hand-washing? Really?

Here's the clip from the discussion, Leave your feedback, how do you feel about this issue?
