A Sullivan County man died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night.

At approximately 10:05 pm Saturday, Monticello Police responded to a 911 report of shots being fired in the Village of Monticello.

Responded officers, assisted by state police discovered Shaun Chadwick, 47 of Monticello laying in a parking lot.

Chadwick had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Chadwick was transported to CRMC in Harris, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The investigation indicates that Chadwick was shot near the intersection of Wood Avenue and Holmes Street, located behind "Its' a Wash" laundromat.

It is believed that the homicide was drug related.

Monticello Police are being assisted by the New York State Police in their investigation.
