So Niantic, the company that runs Pokemon GO, has shut down all the maps and skimmers that third parties were using to help players find Pokemon near them. They also got rid of the steps icons underneath the Pokemon that are near you, making it more difficult to figure out exactly where the Pokemon might be in relation to you.

So, I'm sure you have your home turf where you head because you've been over that ground so much you know exactly where the Pokemon respawn. For me, it's my neighbors front yard. I check the game every 15 minutes and nab whatever creature pops up next door. Yep, I'm THAT guy.

But you want to broaden your horizons and maybe run into some new creatures, where can you go?

Seriously. I'm asking because I need some help!

So why don't we get a list going of some of the best places to head in order to help our your fellow Pokemon Trainers.

In the photo above, I showed a map from the now defunct Pokevision.com. Wappingers Falls is a pretty excellent place to go catch some Pokemon, because they seem to be packed in a pretty small area and spawn rather frequently.

Dutchess Community College has a STUPID amount of Pokestops, and a few gyms hanging out with a few Snorlax. I haven't seen as many Pokemon there, but I'm sure there's a lot INSIDE the college.

If you're in Orange County, one of the best places I've been so far is at the Lakes in Monroe, or at the Airplane Park.

First off, it's a really nice way around Monroe proper. There's a ton of Pokestops on both sides of the lakes, and creatures respawn by the time you make your way around the area, so you can just keep picking them up.

So! Do the rest of your Pokemon Trainers a solid and let us know the best places to find Pokemon in the Hudson Valley! Try and mention places that have a lot of Pokemon in a small area, or might have a ton of Pokestops too. Just saying "Goshen" doesn't really help much. Try to use landmarks or streets for reference.
