The NFL has announced they are looking into charges that the New England Patriots used deflated balls during Sunday's AFC Championship game.

The Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts pretty easily by a score of 45-7. Deflated balls are easier to throw and catch. The NFL is investigating the possibility that deflated balls were used.

According to reports, the NFL did seize a ball from the game to weigh it, and determine whether it was intentionally deflated.

If the Patriots did in fact cheat, it would not be the first time. Back in 2007, the Patriots lost a first round draft pick, fined $250,000, as well as coach Belichick was fined $500,000 for illegally videotaping opponents hand signals during a game.

Accusations of cheating have always surrounded the New England Patriots, including more reports of videotaping other teams.

According to NFL rules, home teams must provide a cetain amount of balls for testing prior to the start of the game.

If they did deflate the balls, it is unlikely that it had an effect on the game, as the Colts were using the same balls, and the score margain was very large.

If it is proven that the Patriots did infact deflate the balls, they could lose potential draft picks
