My Lost Treasure: The Buggles

The theme right now on My Lost Treasure is holiday songs that are not holiday songs. Songs with red or green for Christmas, blue or white for Chanukah, songs with balls, lights, trees, bells. But the theme is almost over. Monday is the last day. And the word today is star.

I can still remember when this song first came out. We played it plenty of times on WPDH, and it was also the first song to be played on MTV. Thankfully, video did not kill the radio star. But it sure has had an impact on the industry. I guess a lot of people would consider this a novelty song. In any case, it fits the current theme here on My Lost Treasure.
