My Lost Treasure: Rod Stewart
The theme right now on My Lost Treasure is a letter theme that was inspired by the Letter Game that we play on The Boris and Robyn Show. We're playing a week of songs starting with each letter of the alphabet. Today is one of my all time favorite songs. Not just T songs, either. It's one of my favorites ever.
Since today is actually my birthday, I figured I would be a little self indulgent and play my favorite track from one of my favorite albums. It is a cover of a Bob Dylan tune, and Rod Stewart performs it to perfection in my opinion. And here's that annoying story that I tell every time I play something from this album. Sorry. It's a good story, though. I can still remember when I convinced my Dad to buy me the Every Picture Tells A Story album. He was ordering 8 tracks from The Columbia House. He thought that Rod Stewart was just flash in the pan. I knew better. I remember him asking me if I thought anyone would remember the album in twenty years. I said yes, and I was right.
Is there a song that you would like to hear? Mostly all songs begin with a letter, so chances are we'll be able to feature your favorite. The Us are next, so how about your favorite song that starts with the letter U? Send your ideas to me at robyn@wpdh.com or on facebook. Thanks!
