My Lost Treasure: Janis Joplin

We are winding down our color theme on My Lost Treasure.  For the past couple of weeks we have been playing songs with "blues" in the title as our subtheme.  Today's pick was suggested by Joe in Beacon.  It is a great song, and I am not sure that I would have thought of it on my own.  Thanks Joe.

Janis Joplin is on my list of top five female performers.  She certainly had her inner demons to fight, but she could belt out a song with such feeling and power.  She left a lot of people speechless.  Just watch some of the videos from the concerts she played.  And like so many others, she left this world way too soon.

We have a few more "blues" songs to get to, and then we will move on to our next theme.  It's the sky.  The sky, clouds, sun, moon, stars, planets, etc.  It should be a good one.  Let me know what songs you would like to hear for the new theme.  Thanks.
