New movies, on a Wednesday? What? Out today are two new(ish) movies. First, 'The Penguins of Madagascar,' a spinoff, and 'Horrible Bosses 2' a sequel. I'm not sure if someone thought that after eating Thanksgiving dinner we wouldn't care about the quality of movie this week...but I'm on to you, you who thought we wouldn't notice.

First the family movie. 'The Penguins of Madagascar,' an origin story that follows those lovable penguins from the Madagascar movies who are actually secret agents in their mission to save the wold with the help from a secret agent voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. Dr. Octavius Brine looks to take over the world and its up to these guys to stop him. With a rating of 41 on Metacritic and 59% on Rotten Tomatoes, critics say that while it's filled with gags and jokes, there is really nothing behind this movie to make it any sort if interesting.

Next, an even worse movie, 'Horrible Bosses 2.' The original was funny but this second one is just the same thing done all over again. Looking at the movie info on Rotten Tomatoes, the writer spends more time listing the cast and what other movies they have been in than what actually happens in the movie! I was about to figure out what it is about, however. Nick (Jason Bateman), Dale (Charlie Day) and Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) create a shower product and pitch it to a wealthy father/son group. After they cancel their order and steal the idea, the guys kidnap the son and hold him for ransom to pay of their debts. This movie has a rating of 38 on Metacritic and 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are saying that this movie goes for any and every crude joke that there can be but only about half of them are actually funny. But, ya know what, Jennifer Aniston is in this one again and so is Christoph Waltz and that's all it takes to get me to see a movie.

As always, check out the trainers below and until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies!
