The New York State Museum is located in Albany, NY which happens to be the capital of New York. This first was established in the 1830s and later opened their doors in 1845.

When Can We Visit The New York State Museum?
The New York State Museum has free admission! We can visit Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30am-5pm. They are closed on holidays.
