Cold temperatures closed down an entire hospital in the Hudson Valley this weekend.

While most of the area did their best to protect themselves from the sub-zero temperatures, one place that is designed to keep people safe was forced to close down. Catskill Regional Medical Center announced the temporary closure of the Grover M. Hermann Hospital on Route 97 in Callicoon.

On Saturday the entire hospital was evacuated over what appears to have been frozen pipes. CRMC says that the hospital was clear out due to "an emergency heating situation and a number of water leaks in various parts of the building."

Grover M. Hermann Hospital remains closed and patients have all been moved to Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. Ambulances will remain on property, ready to transport anyone who shows up needing medical treatment. All outpatient appointments have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Grover M. Hermann will remain closed until the building has been approved to reopen. Air quality testing needs to be done before patients will be allowed inside for treatment.
