A heat wave is coming and the National Weather Service has issued a heat warning for the Hudson Valley.

The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory for the Hudson Valley from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Highs will be in the 90s through Thursday, with the humidity making it feel like it's in the 100s, officials say.

The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation where heat stress or heat-related illnesses are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Officials are urging people in the area to drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun and stay in air-conditioned rooms as much as possible. It's also recommended you check in on relatives on neighbors.
