Attending college can be a very costly endeavor. Often times, students are saddled with student loan debt for years after graduating. This gets even tougher if you are already working and want to go back to school to further your education in your field. Grants and scholarships are tremendous helps along the way to a college education and the pursuing of dreams. Anderson Center for Autism has announced a new scholarship program initiative to do just that.

The Staatsburg based autism treatment center, Anderson Center for Autism, has announced the creation of a new scholarship named for retiring Executive Neil Pollack. While his role with the Center is coming to a close, Anderson supporters have created a scholarship that honors his vision of educational opportunities for Anderson’s staff of 800 to better serve the individuals in their care.

The scholarship program has been designed to aid Anderson staff members in furthering their education. A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one applicant pursing a degree in the Human Services field. There will also be three, secondary scholarships up to $2,500 each. All awards will be distributed over 24 months toward tuition, books, and fees.

The Center’s board of trustees has launched the initiative with $50,000. Contributions toward the Neil J. Pollack Scholarship can be made here.
