NBC New York is reporting that the National Football League is suspending NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for one game. The suspension stems from Beckham's antics in Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Many have heavily criticized Beckham's actions. One report says that Beckham felt threatened by Carolina's practice squad who brought a black baseball bat on to the field during pre-game warmups.

The baseball bats have been a tradition with the Panthers this season. The bats are meant to symbolize big plays (or "home run" plays).

The New York Giants claim that the Panthers not only threatened Beckham with the bats, but shouted homophobic slurs at him before the game.
