Three new movies battle it out for the top spot; and there's one for everyone - Chappie, Unfinished Business and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. One of these new movies will top the box office numbers this week; with Dev Patel being in two of the three, he has a good shot.

From the director of District 9, Chappie is a story of a robot with human feelings. In a world that is policed by heartless robots, one robot is stolen and reprogrammed to be more human. After the powers that be learn about Chappie, they use everything in their power to make sure it doesn't happen again. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes give this one a 33% due to poor acting (surprisingly including Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver) and what some are calling an emotionless story about a story of emotion. However, I am still going to say that this will be top in the box office as far as money making. This is the first movie of the weekend starring Dev Patel.

Next the Vince Vaughn, Dave Franco and Tom Wilkinson comedy. Unfinished Business looks to fall short. When a business trip makes a turn to be an all out European party - you get a Vince Vaughn movie. Rotten Tomatoes rates it a sad 6% with some critics says that the movie should never have been released partly due to the lack of time spent on each joke. Rushed and unfinished seems to be the consensus for Unfinished Business.

And now for a movie actually rated okay - The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The sequel to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel continues to follow older British people living in India now looking to be a part of the workforce. With two hotels and an upcoming marriage co-manager Sonny (Dev Patel) finds himself with not enough time in the day while guests and family bustle around in preparation of the extravagant wedding. Starring Maggie Smith, Judi Dench and Bill Nighy Rotten Tomatoes gives this a 63%. Being Patel's second film in wide release at the same time, he may be able to get some credit back with this one over Chappie.

Check out all three trailers below and as always, until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies.
