The Academy Awards is making some major changes, and adding a new category for the best ‘popular film,’ whatever that means.

Polanski was convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 1978. The allegations against Cosby go back just as far, though he was only formally convicted of felony sexual assault last week.

After delivering the acceptance speech of the night (and inspiring everyone to frantically Google “inclusion rider”), Frances McDormand was tragically separated from her Best Actress Oscar when a man — because of course it was a man — had the nerve to steal it from her at the Governors Awards ball. Thankfully, the separation was brief, as McDormand and her little golden friend were reunited, at which point they enjoyed a post-Oscars trip to In-N-Out burger. Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested for felony grand theft.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has voted to expel Harvey Weinstein from the award organization.

Critics and audiences alike have fallen head over heels for Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot’s solo superhero film, but can Warner Bros. get Oscar voters to do the same?

I’ve been saying it for months: It’s too bad there can only be one Best Picture winner.
