A bank bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a female employee at Rite Aid Pharmacy at 709 Main Street in Poughkeepsie Thursday morning, according to a press release from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

City of Poughkeepsie police received a 911 call and responded to find a female employee who had been robbed.

According to the victim, the perpetrator was a thin male, approximately 6 foot tall wearing black sweat pants and a gray mask over his face. The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said in a press release that the suspect pushed the employee, then reached into her car, grabbing the bank bag, and ran west on Main Street.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is asking that anyone with information on the robbery to call 451-7577 to speak with the detectives.
