A SUNY New Paltz student allegedly confessed to the gruesome murder of his mother.

Paula Chin, 65, from Manhattan was found dead in her second home in New Jersey on Wednesday. Investigators said she was stabbed three times.

Her 22-year-old son Jared Eng is accused of slashing her mother's throat and stuffing her into a garbage bag. Chin was found dead inside a garbage bag in her New Jersey home, the Daily News reports.

Police arrested Eng, Caitlyn O’Rouke, who officials believe is Eng's girlfriend, and a teen for allegedly carrying her body in a garbage bag from Manhattan to New Jersey. Eng and O'Rourke both attended SUNY New Paltz. All three were charged with tampering with evidence and concealing a human corpse.

After his arrest, Eng said he didn't kill his mother, adding he loved her very much. However, CBS obtained court documents that say Eng confessed to killing his mother.

O’Rourke told investigators she received a phone call from Eng who told her he killed his mother, according to court documents obtained by CBS. As of this writing, no one has been charged with murder, but murder charges could be brought against any member of the group as police continue to investigate.
