My Lost Treasure: Tom Petty

The new theme on My Lost Treasure is holiday songs that aren't holiday songs. Songs with something in the title that reminds us of the holidays. Like colors. Red or green for Christmas, blue or white for Chanukah. Candles, lights, trees. Today's word is, once again, star.

When I thought about this song, I actually thought about The Byrds. But I already featured a Byrds song for this theme, and not that long ago. So we are going with a great cover of the same song. Everybody that knows me also knows that I am a huge fan of Tom Petty. I was devastated to learn of his passing, and I know I'm not alone. Rest in Peace, Tom, and thanks for all the great music. A huge gift to the world.
