Ev will teach a body-based percussion practice called RhythEmbody that incorporates drumming traditions from around the globe. Students will work with hands and sticks and be introduced to a wide range of percussion instruments. Ev approaches drumming as a spiritual practice and will incorporate elements of the way it has been used in various traditions to heal and elevate consciousness.

About Instructor:
Evry Mann holds masters degrees in religious studies and music composition and has been a professional musician and teaching artists for over forty years. He is the founder of the Center for Creative Education in Kingston, NY and Marbletown Multi-Arts in Stone Ridge, NY. He is the founder of POOK, the Percussion Orchestra of Kingston and currently performs with the world music quartet Levanta.
