Cat + Pill = Living Hell

I don't know if you've ever tried to give a cat a pill, but let me tell you, it's not easy. For the past week, we've had to give our cat Noodles a pill twice a day...and it's a bitter pill. Oh. my. God. After the first pill, I felt like I had just fought a war...and lost. There was hair flying, blood (mine) splattering, screams (mine and his), and a little white spit covered pill on the floor. Then I got the idea to put the pill in cat food...hair flew, blood splattered, screams were heard...and there was a little white cat food and spit covered pill on the floor. Then I got the idea to put the pill in liverwurst...hair, blood, screams, spitty, liverwurst covered pill on floor. And I smelled like liverwurst for hours. The final solution and happy ending? My friend Glenn is a compounding pharmacist...he was able to make a chicken flavored liquid solution from the medicine! Thanks, Glenn, for saving my life...and keeping Noodles happy!
