The New York Giants spent big.

How big?

How about $85 million dollars? That's what the five year deal for defensive end Olivier Vernon is going to cost. And one more thing; $52.3 million of that is guaranteed money.

The Giants have made a pledge to make their defense great again, and were certainly willing to shell out the cash for the 25 year-old former Miami Dolphin. Vernon started all sixteen games for Miami in 2015; finishing with 61 combined tackles and 7.5 sacks.

The Giants spending did not end there, however. ESPN reports that Big Blue also signed cornerback Janoris Jenkins to a $12.5 million a year deal, as well as defensive tackle Damon Harrison for $9.25 million a year.

That's $105.5 million in guaranteed money to three players in one day.
