Our Beer of the week is the Smoked Brown Porter from Blue Collar Brewery in Poughkeepsie. Brewmaster Randy explains what makes this beer different than a Stout.

Newly opened in November, Blue Collar has already generated lots of buzz in the Hudson Valley. They're located on Cottage Street in a unique building that allows you to oversee not only the open brewing area, but also the kitchen.

With 5 beers on tap, our beer of the week is the Smoked Brown Porter. It's made using pale ale malt and oak smoked wheat malt, caramel and chocolate malt. As for the difference between this beer and a stout, here's Randy to explanation about what sets the two styles apart:
