The theme right now on My Lost Treasure is up and down.  Songs with up or down in the title.  Today it is a "down" song from The Doors.  It goes out to Fireman Mike and my coworker John Clark.  Both huge Doors fans. I always forget how much I love The Doors...

The Doors' self-titled debut, which was released 50 years ago today, will mark its golden anniversary with a three-disc deluxe edition.

Today is December 8.  Jim Morrison from The Doors was born on this day back in 1943. Hard to believe, but he would have been 73 years old today.  We are still working on a food and drink theme on My Lost Treasure, and today we are doing The Doors in honor of Jim Morrison's birthday...

Surviving Doors members John Densmore and Robby Krieger are coming together in concert for the first time in 15 years — and fittingly, it's in honor of a former bandmate.

The singer was already in a headlong downward spiral by the time he performed this final show.
