New Rod Stewart, Live Lynyrd Skynyrd

There are a couple of very cool releases to tell you about today.  Rod Stewart fans will be happy about his new album, there is something to keep Lynyrd Skynyrd fans happy, and even something for you if you love Rush.

I remember being a little kid who loved Rod Stewart's song Maggie May.  I still love it.  I begged my Dad to order the Every picture Tells A Story eight track from the Columbia Record Club.  he did, but teased me that no one would even remember Rod Stewart in twenty years.  It's been over forty years, and Rod's new album is in stores today.  I still remind my Dad of that conversation, and he sheepishly admits that he was wrong.

If you love Lynyrd Skynyrd,  thre's a reissue, plus their new live album that was recorded in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida is out today.  It ought to be a good one.  And for Rush fans, a vinyl reissue of Power Windows. Here are today's releases.
