My Lost Treasure: The Mamas and The Papas

The theme is cities, towns, states, countries, etc.  Today we are going way back to my childhood with a song about a state, as we continue the weekend's California theme.  I feel like everybody knows this song, but I could be wrong.  It might just be that I've heard it so many times through the years.

I loved The Mamas And The Papas growing up.  Their songs were great, the harmonies were also great.  But I was pretty young when their songs were on the charts.  It wasn't until I worked at an oldies station later on in life that I really started appreciating their music.  Then I saw a documentary about them, and I realized how cool they really were.  They were so intertwined with other people on the music scene of the sixties.  So, I hope you enjoy this bit of coolness today.
