My Lost Treasure: SSgt Barry Sadler

Today is Veterans Day.  There aren't enough ways in the world to let our troops, past and present, know how much we appreciate the sacrifices they have and do make for our country and our freedom.

We are also kicking off a new theme on My Lost Treasure.  The new theme is color.  Today's lost treasure kind of addresses both our new theme, and the holiday.  This isn't the kind of song I usually play on this feature,  But I remember it from my childhood.  It was a huge hit.  I think it meant a lot to our country back then.  And our soldiers needed to know how important they were in a time when there were a lot of people protesting war.  Whether you are for or against war, I think we can all agree we are for our troops and their bravery.  And that's why I chose this song.

I am thinking the color theme will last a while.  There are an awful lot of songs about color.  Which one is your favorite?  let me know, I always welcome suggestions.  And to our veterans, I just want to say Thank You.
