We've just about exhausted every road with our road/street song...so let's do a few days of highway songs.  I forgot how much I like today's song until I started playing it just minutes ago.  I was like...oh yeah, this is a great song...And it happens to be Doug Gray's birthday today.

I got to meet Doug Gray from the Marshall Tucker Band back in the 1990s at a club called Tickets.  Tickets was in Amenia in Dutchess County, just before you hit the Connecticut border.  They had some great bands there, and great food, too.  We often got to do stage announcements and meet the bands.

Doug Gray was so nice and so humble.  He was in pain because of a toe infection.  You never would have known he was hurting when he was up on stage singing, though.  If I recall, he had also just gotten some in ear monitors.  It was an awesome show!  Glad I was there and got to meet such a nice guy...I hope you enjoy today's treasure.  Happy birthday, Doug!
