I'll never forget December 8, 1980.  I was actually working in the news department at WPDH.  I was super young, had a cool job, and thought all was great with the world.  And then we got that call.

John Lennon had been shot.  It was crazy.  And it affected me more than I thought it would.  I listened to the radio all night, all different stations.  It was the first time I cried over the death of a person I never met.  It was as if someone killed part of my childhood.

Today, I celebrate the life of John Lennon with his music.  R.I.P. John.
