The theme on My Lost Treasure is places.  Cities, towns, countries, states. etc.  Today we are going back to 1972 to what I believe was the first big benefit concert.  Leave it to someone as awesome as George Harrison to use his celebrity status to benefit others less fortunate.

I remember Bangladesh when I was a kid, and I thought the music was great.  I had no idea what it was about.  I didn't know about refugees and genocide.  I was a pretty sheltered kid.  The concert had some other big names.  Ravi Shankar,  Ringo Starr, Leon Russell, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and more.  It also paved the way for future concerts like Live Aid.

Have a great weekend, and don't forget to send me your requests and suggestions for My Lost Treasure.  Got a song that fits the places theme?  Got an idea for a future theme?  Email me robyn@wpdh.com or hit me up on facebook.
