My Lost Treasure: David Essex

We have a pretty cool theme going on right now on My Lost Treasure.  It is songs with rock or rock and roll in the title.  There are a lot of them, and I have gotten a lot of requests and suggestions.  Today's pick was a request from Peter on facebook.

Yes, I am old enough to remember 1973.  And when Rock On by David Essex came out, it was one of the coolest songs ever.  At least, we thought so at the time.  In fact, I still think it's pretty cool when I hear it nowadays.  There was a remake of the song back in the 80s.  Not quite as cool, in my opinion.  So today, we feature the original by David Essex.
