My Lost Treasure: Blackfoot

Not only did I get a bunch of requests for today's song, it also fits our theme perfectly.  The theme is transportation, but we've been concentrating on trains.  And we still have to get to planes, automobiles, and all the rest.

One of my favorite interviews through the years was with Ricky Medlocke from Blackfoot, now with Lynyrd Skynyrd.  He was friendly, informative, interesting, entertaining...all the things that make for a great interview.  Today's song was a big hit for Blackfoot, and it was written by Ricky's grandfather Shorty Medlocke.  In fact, Shorty played the harmonica intro to the song on the Blackfoot album.

Pretty cool story, huh?  And it's an awesome song, too.  This one goes out to all the people that emailed me for it.  Of course I was going to get to it.  Have a great weekend!
