The National Parks program has been rolling out a lot of deals recently, including a new one for 4th-grade kids.

The 'Every Kid In A Park' program, from the US Government, is aiming to do just that: give every kid access to a park. The program is offering 4th-grade children, and their families, free National Parks passes for a full year.

To get the pass, first, you need a fourth-grade child. After that, all you have to do is have that child fill out a simple 'diary' on the program's site. Then, read the story they created, and print your pass. It is important to note that passes must be printed, and electronic copies will not be accepted, as stated on the website.

The 'Every Kid In A Park' website has a plan your trip feature and a suggested packing guide for what to bring.

New York has plenty of National Parks for you to explore, including parks in the Hudson Valley.
