WPDH Album of the Week: Yes ‘Going for the One’

We celebrate the 40th anniversary this week of the eighth studio album from Yes, Going for the One
. The album was released July 15, 1977 on Atlantic Records. Going for the One received mostly positive reviews and it was a commercial success for the band reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart and top 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with singles "Wonderous Stories" and the title track, "Going for the One". The album went Gold in the U.S. for sales of over 500,000 copies.
