Tune in for the WPDH Album of the Week this Sunday at 11PM. We’ll be bringing you Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 'Into the Great Wide Open', in its entirety, start to finish.

Released in July of 1991, the album is celebrating it's 25th anniversary. It was the band's last album on MCA Records. The single "Learning to Fly" became his longest-running running single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, spending 6 weeks on top. The album received mostly positive reviews from critics including Rolling Stone magazine that called the album a cross between Full Moon Fever and Damn the Torpedoes featuring some of Tom Petty's best lyrics.
