It's not quite ready yet, but the fall foliage is brewing here in the Hudson Valley.

We still have 17 days left until the official start of the fall, but it's never too early to start planning our fall foliage routes and thanks to the internet we can schedule our trips accordingly.

Thanks to SmokeyMountains.Com we can see when we'll see the leaves start to turn which always makes for great weekend road trips, especially here in the Hudson Valley.

According to their interactive map we should start seeing a small change by now. If you pay attention while driving today, you will see a few trees in the early light green-yellow phase.

By the end of next week (September 15) we should start to see more and more trees turning. The Hudson Valley will reach peak foliage somewhere between September 24th and October 1st.

While none of these predictions are 100% positive, I think we all can agree that New York is the best when it comes to fall foliage views.

Whats your favorite spot to enjoy the fall views?
