Following a lengthy investigation two women employed at a local spa were arrested for providing sexual services for money.

Following several tips from residents, undercover State Police began to conduct surveillance at a day spa located at 2153 Albany Post Road in the Montrose section of the Town of Cortlandt.

After a multi-week investigation, two spa employees were arrested. Police say the defendants are accused of providing massages without a license as well as sexual services in return for money.

The women, both of Brooklyn, were charged with unlawful possession of a practice, a class E felony, 2nd-degree criminal nuisance, and prostitution, misdemeanors. The charges were later dismissed, according to court documents provided to the Hudson Valley Post.

Both defendants were arraigned at Cortlandt Town Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail. Both defendants are to return to the Town of Cortlandt Court on June 13.

The investigation into this matter is continuing and additional arrests are possible, officials say.
