The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.
This week, we’ve got a review of former Accept frontman Udo Dirkscneider's recent show at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, NY. Watch video above which includes photos and footage from the concert that took place on Jan. 6, 2016 featuring all classic Accept material.
Udo Dirkschneider formerd Accept out of Germany with guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes. The band was important to the development of speed and thrash metal in the early to mid 1980’s. Accept achieved commercial success in 1983 with the album Balls to The Wall and the title cut became a well known hit. The album remains Accept’s only gold album in the U.S. with other classic albums including Restless and Wild and Metal Heart. Dirkschneider currently fronts the band U.D.O. and they put out their latest album called Decadent in 2015.
